A wonderfully glamorous miniature in oils, we belive of the young Lord Melbourne.  This arrived with us with a companion piece, a miniature print of a famous and less glamorous portrait of the older Melbourne which is now in the National Portrait Gallery and would come with this panting as a sort of reference point.  Why would you want Melbourne?  A pretty face, twice Prime MInister, and a good back story let's face it..... Lady Caroline Lamb, Lord Byron, Queen Victoria and the man who influenced momentous political reform in both Britain and Ireland in interesting times. £200
