A splendid pair of parrot candlesticks, perfect for a summery dining table, maybe a touch of brightness in winter too.  These candlesticks are contemporary, some are made in France and we suspect some further afield with added European marks which should not be relied on. Really it doesn't matter very much where they are made, they are unusual and fun and an excellent present for yourself or a friend. They are one of those things that catch the eye, meaning that they often go for surprisingly high prices in auctions but we thought these were pretty reasonable. £280
