Of baluster form,  this attractive vase is enamel decorated in the famille rose palette with figures within an exterior scene with flowers and foliage to the opposing side. The only thing it lacks is age. 20th and 21st century Chinese porcelain pieces are increasingly found in the market.  They bear many of the attributes so prized in the most extravagantly expensive 18th and 19th century collectors’ pieces but at the smallest fraction of those prices. Hooray!  Age is not everything, beauty speaks for itself, and these pieces gladden the eye and make wonderful presents
