with beautifully fitted  and preserved interior, 118cm high. 
 
Some reparable damage to external straps which could be renewed.  We have not undertaken repairs to keep the sale price down, and keep the trunk as found, but they could be arranged.  Trunks with all fittings as well preserved as this one are quite hard to find.  They are sometimes transformed for other uses such as drinks cupboards.  This would look stunning standing open in a room for use as extra drawer space –  we can’t help imagining it with silks and satins tumbling out of the drawers, a spectacular hat on the stand, and a diamond necklace or two hanging from a convenient corner
