A page from a 19th or early 20th century Tibetan pecha – a traditional unbound Tibetan book. This is part of the story of Drowa Zangmo. A hagiographical story used to illustrate and explain essential Buddhist ideas of karma and impermanence. This page gives part of the conversation between Drowa Zangmo and the King. The story is well-known in Bhutan and the rough translation we have was made by a friend in Ladakh. We can provide a print out of it and a version of the complete story.
The page has an illustration on the front and is framed and double glazed to show both sides.
22 x 42cm framed.
